Javelin NMR Logging Used for Lithium Economic Assessment

The Javelin Wireline NMR logging system recently served a central role in a preliminary economic assessment of lithium brine production in Clayton Valley, Nevada. In brine mining operations, determinations of resource size require accurate estimation of specific yield (drainable porosity) and hydraulic conductivity.  Pure Energy Minerals and their consulting partners used Javelin measurements to determine specific yield and hydraulic conductivity at high-resolution, complementing standard hydrologic tests that average over the entire well.  Core analysis was also performed using Vista Clara’s Corona NMR core analyzer.  The Javelin and Corona NMR data contributed to revised estimates of the resource, which will lower risk for the mining endeavor going forward.
