Vista Clara comprises a Board of Directors, President, and Vice President that provide strategic and financial management. Our staff includes scientists, electrical and systems engineers, geophysicists, and administrative support personnel. Our principle office is located in Mukilteo, Washington (in the Seattle metropolitan area).
Vista Clara Inc. is incorporated in the State of Washington, and classified under SBA regulations as a small, veteran-owned business. Vista Clara Inc. is also registered as a business in Australia with a resident director based in Perth, WA.
Dave Walsh founded Vista Clara in 1997. He received a M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona. Following an early career in medical MRI research and development, Dave has devoted the past fifteen years to the advancement of new technologies for NMR geophysics.
Elliot Grunewald co-leads Vista Clara’s geophysical research program and heads instrument sales. He received a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Stanford University, where he served as Consulting Professor from 2011-2014. He has spent the past ten years conducting NMR geophysics research in academic and industry environments.
Peter Turner is the Chief Engineer at Vista Clara. He received a M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Western Australia. His experience includes more than two decades of engineering sophisticated audio and radio frequency detection electronics.
Hong Zhang is a Research Physicist and Production Lead for all Vista Clara products. She received a M.S. in Physics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin. Before joining Vista Clara, she worked for more than ten years at Schlumberger EMI Technology, as a Senior Research Scientist.
